Afon Technology were pleased to visit the International Conference on Advanced Technologies & Therapeutics for Diabetes (ATTD) Berlin 2023 in February. They were represented by Dr Sabih Chaudhry (CEO) and Dr John Shillingford (Clinical Director).
At the annual conference, Afon Technology presented an e-poster. They showcased the preliminary results from a trial currently running. The trial is taking place at the Joint Clinical Research Facility (JCRF), Swansea.

There was considerable interest and “buzz” created by the Afon Technology non-invasive wearable device. Called ‘Glucowear™’, the device is set to revolutionise the lives of people living with Diabetes. Glucowear™ will remove the need for blood samples to read glucose levels.
The work that Dr Sabih Chaudhry, Dr John Shillingford and the Afon Technology team are achieving, attracted conversations with global MedTech companies and European & US based key opinion leaders KOLs.

In 2014 Dr Sabih Chaudhry won the Bionow Healthcare Project of the Year award for the non-invasive blood glucose monitor. More recently, Afon Technology was awarded €2.4 million by the European Innovation Council to continue their work. You can learn more about Afon Technology and Glucowear™ here.
